A golden heart.
Jeremy wants those shoes desperately. Why shouldn’t he when everyone in his class owns it? But, unfortunately, his grandmama can’t afford it. Then, one day, his present shoes break, and the school counselor offers him a new pair. But Jeremy is unhappy as they look like shoes that young children wear. And finally, Jeremy buys his dream shoes from a thrift store, though they are smaller for his feet. And then, one day, Jeremy gives it all up. Why would he?
We picked this book based on a recommendation. The story of Jeremy, who wants a pair of shoes and gets it only to quickly giveaway to someone who needs it the most. Children will enjoy the story of a boy with a golden heart. The illustrations work nicely with the storyline.
