The Seal with a Pink Bow

The power of friendship.

A little girl meets Mary, the seal with a pink bow, while she sails with her dad and brothers. The seal could talk and asked the little girl to play with her. The little girl wanted to show the seal to her family. But, when the family returned, the seal was gone. While the brothers laughed at the little girl, the father asked her to keep wishing to see the seal again. So the little girl wished for Mary to come and play with her. Did the little girl's wish come true?

The storyline is engaging and narrated in a rhyming style, making it apt for little children. While the story is about kindling a child's imagination, it teaches determination and friendship values. And also a little fact about animal migration. Illustrations that are digitally produced and cartoon-styled support the story well.

The Seal with a Pink Bow by Ellen B Alden is a fascinating tale of friendship between a girl and a seal.
