Sadsquatch

You make it or break it!

Sadsquatch, the young yeti, woke up in a bad mood. But his mom encouraged him to stay positive, and his dad offered him some breakfast to cheer up his spirit. After that, he felt better and got ready for school. At school, his good friends helped him to stay happy. When everything was going well, he spilled his lunch, but that’s not all. He got a C on his spelling test and hoped for an A. Now, how did Sadsquatch react to his mishaps?

We picked this book for its yeti protagonist. The story conveys the idea of how to manage one’s emotions without brooding over those minor setbacks. The illustrations are colorful and well-made and support the story well. In addition, the rhyming text makes it perfect for a read-a-loud session.

Sadsquatch by Lindsey Stansfield & January Jordan is a beautifully illustrated story of Sadsquatch and how he turns around a not-so-good day.
