Who's that?
Sam hates going to bed, and there's a good reason. It's not the baths, the bedtime stories, or the hugs; it's the monsters that dwelt in his closet. He believes they are out to get him since they bother him every night with their strange noises. So Sam fell asleep after Dad had stayed and tucked him in. But, of course, his parents or grandparents won't believe him. And indeed, Sam eventually encounters those monsters.
We picked this book for its title. The book discusses the common nighttime fear many children experience, but with a twist of meeting the creatures who cause the nightmares. By facing the fear calmly, children may find it easier to overcome it. The illustrations support the storyline by depicting monsters in a child-friendly manner.
Monster Tea Party is an empowering and reassuring story for young children, thanks to Fru Farkas' whimsical illustrations and Talia Jean Campbell & Ellie Campbell's storyline.
