Vent it.
The Holdin Pott, cooking pot, was taught not to show emotions no matter how hot it was. So little Pot, who watched Holdin Pott, wanted to be as brave and held all the emotions. But Little Pot had too many things to tell, including being bullied by other pots on the shelf. So one day, Little Pot blew everything away, making a mess of the place. Oops, what happened to Little Pot? How did Holdin Pot react to the behavior?
We picked this book for its cover. The storyline works for young children to help express themselves and share their emotions with adults. However, it also points to the requisite adult behavior of listening and acknowledging the problem. The illustrations are simple and work well with the storyline.
Holdin Pott by Chandra Ghosh Ippen is a beautifully illustrated book about expressing and managing emotions for young children.
