Ganesha's Sweet Tooth

A tooth nib!

Ganesha, the revered Hindu god, is known for his distinctive appearance - an elephant head and a magical mouse as his vehicle. Despite his divine status and immense influence, Ganesha had a childhood like any other child. He had a well-known sweet tooth and was fond of laddoo, a popular Indian sweet. Along with his best buddy, the magical mouse, he used to always hunt for sweets and munch on them. However, one day, a laddoo caused havoc in Ganesha's life.

We picked this book for its title. The book tells how Ganesha became the scribe for Vyasa to finish the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata. As children read, they will enjoy the amusing antics of Ganesh and Mr. Mouse. In addition, they will learn valuable lessons about being helpful and patient, just like Ganesh. The illustrations in the book are vibrant and skillfully support the story.

Sanjay Patel & Emily Haynes have crafted an enjoyable tale for young children in Ganesha's Sweet Tooth, recounting the birth of a revered scribe and his childhood antics.
