Fried Rice & Marinara

The fusion sauce!

Mikey is four and looking forward to his upcoming birthday party. He's already thinking about presents, cake, and having a good time. But his happiness was short-lived when his mother questioned about the food that would be served to his pals. Mikey must pick between Chinese and Italian cuisine to please both sides of his family. What will Mikey say about it?

We picked this book for its cover. The story talks about small children's dilemmas when they come from multicultural homes. In the end, the author handled the solution effectively. The illustrations are vibrant and complement the story well.
