You're magical!
A little boy comes home disappointed as one of his friends draws everyone and portrays the little boy's eye as just a line. His father understands and shows that the little boy has the same eyes as him and tells the boy that they are as powerful as everyone else's. The little boy realizes that his dad's eyes make him happy daily and are always filled with surprises.
We picked this book after reading the author's 'Eyes that Kiss in the Corners'; the two books are similar, and this book is a sequel with a boy as the protagonist. A little child is urged by his father to embrace himself and look on the bright side of things. The illustrations complement the story's narration.
Joanna Ho's Eyes That Speak to the Stars is a narrative of optimism and hope, beautifully illustrated by Dung Ho.
