Chinyere and the Words that Grow Grow Grow

Love, love, love!

Little Chinyere enjoys every minute she spends with her Granny. Every day, she looks forward to after-school storytime. However, when Chinyere transferred to a new school, she struggled to befriend the new students, and she never met Granny after school. So Granny visited Chinyere and gave her a special sauce that altered everything.

We picked this book for its cover. Many facets of children's emotions are addressed in the book, including love, fear, and self-doubt. Children can quickly pick up new words and follow the daily routine of repeating affirmations. The illustrations are colorful and add to the plot.

The positive affirmations in Joy Ufomadu's Chinyere and the Words that Grow Grow Grow, illustrated by Monique Mortimer, will encourage and reassure children to be bold and confident while showing compassion and love.
