Bridget's Book

Free and happy!

Bridget, a rescue dog, looks happy outside but is not. She only feels safe when she is outdoors, enjoying her freedom. And Bridget enjoys the company of mommy, papa Al, and her dog friend, Luna. When she is alone, she has nightmares. But mom comforts her with goodies and even gives her occasional haircuts.

We picked this book for its cover. The story is about a dog who appears normal on the outside but has issues that require support and compassion from those around her. The book has attractive illustrations and is easy to read.

Bridget's Book by David Tung will appeal to young children because of its dog theme and simple language. But we can use it with older children to start a conversation about kindness.
